Why I Will Be Successful
One of my future goals is to own my own gym or practice and when you tell a business minded individual that, they usually ask you the same question, “What is going to separate you from other gyms and allow you to be successful?” Now this is a valid question and one all business owners should be able to answer. Truthfully I didn’t have a real answer until recently. I usually would start to explain how I will be more educated than most gym owners, how my gym would be based off science, or some sort of crap like that.
On a 16-hour drive back to New Jersey from Iowa it finally hit me though; the answer to what separates me from others, why my business will continue to be successful, and the real answer to that question. It was right in front of me the whole time. It is my authenticity and ability to inspire. I think deep down I knew the answer already, but didn’t understand it enough to feel comfortable giving it as an answer.

People want a coach or trainer who genuinely cares about their best interest and wants to see them succeed as badly as they do. They want someone with the ability to inspire him or her and what is more inspiring then having someone else care about your success as much as you do! This ability to inspire, this authenticity, creates client loyalty more than anything else, even positive results.
Of course I still strive to know everything I can in this field and of course I still base my programs off of research and science, but that isn’t why people train with me. Clients will be loyal if they can genuinely tell you are authentic and have their best interest in mind. Athletes ask me all the time why I care so much and I’m not exactly sure why I do. I guess it is just how I am wired, but I hope it never changes.
